| Notes: | Trees of Brazil. Povoada Sta. Cruz - Valle Verde, then road on right, 1km up this road. Roadside secondary vegetation. Samll tree 4m, 2 stems, largest 10cm diam. Branches ascending. Bark pale brown, rough, deep vertical fissures, flaking slightly, m, arked with leaf scars and some stipules persistent; Slash cream 3-5mm, oxidising red-brown, wood with concentric rings of brown and buff. Leaves to 60cm, dark green above with ferrugineous indumentum beneath. Stipules very persistent, to 4.5cm, with fer, rrugineous indumentum on exterior. Sterile voucher for cpDNA studies.
