Notes: | Forest Herbarium Oxfordx0Dx0AUniversity of Oxfordx0Dx0AFlora of Mexicox0Dx0ASEE HERBARIUM MATERIALx0Dx0ASEE SPIRIT COLLECTIONx0Dx0AState: Guerrerox0Dx0ACollecting notes: On the road from Chilpancingo to Mexico City and Iguala, 300m to the west of the road at a small town just a, fter a large river 56km to the north of Chilpancingo.x0Dx0Ax0Dx0A5-6m single or few stemmed trees with 40-45cm dbh and white dusty bark of papery consistency (pea green beneath). One side of the trunk may be corky. Lenticels are not prominent. Juvenile leaves are, pubescent grey green fading to orange red as they age. Glands are present between the pinnae pairs and around the edge of the leaf blade. The flowers are held in panicles of racemes. Petals are deep pink/red with dark red venation. The centre of the stan, dard petal is dark pink. The petals are reflexed with the standard held upright like a claw. The sepals support the petals. Staminal filaments are pale yellow, but pinkish toward the antherwhich have blood red thecae. There are very short stalked green, s, hiney glands on the staminal filaments.
