Notes: | Forest Herbarium Oxfordx0Dx0AFlora of Nicaraguax0Dx0Ax0Dx0ACollecting notes: Close to the main road from Empalme San Benito towards Rama and Juigalpa, about 2km SE of the village of Tecolostote.x0Dx0ASmall branchy tree with a spreading crown to 4mht.x0Dx0ABark mid grey-brwon, with shallow vertical fissures, inner bark pale pinkish brown. Some trees with squat sharp pointed throns on stem and branches, others thornless.x0Dx0AAbundant, striking racemes of yellow flowers. Calyx yellow green, petals bright yellow, banner petal streak, ed orange; stamens and style greenish yellow, stigma deep green, anthers pinkish green turning maroon after dehiscence. Large pale orange brown bee laden with pollen working the flowers. A few very immature green pods.
