Notes: | Collecting notes:x0Dx0ABrazil: estado de Rio de Janeiro, Mun. de Saquarema, Saquarema, ca. 42°30'W, 22°55'S.x0Dx0ARestinga arbórea, seca - much disturbed by new beach dwellings, trackways and rubbish tips. Alt. ca. s.l.x0Dx0Ax0Dx0ACoppiced specimen to 3 m, regeratingw, ith ease, bark smooth but for spine-tipped warty protuberances, mottled various shades of grey and with green lichen. Main stem ca. 2.5cm diam. exuding no resin when cut. Young foliage mid green, mature foliage deep bottle green. Brightly coloured bugs on, young foliage (ref. photograph).x0Dx0Ax0Dx0AAbout 20 specimens in an area 50x50m, all middles-sized trees recently coppiced. Sterile.x0Dx0A[see also Lewis 1622] |
