Notes: | Label source: Letter from D Hanbury to JE Howard - Plough Court, Lombard Street 10.3.1854 - My dear friend, I will obtain from Jacob Bell, if I can, the other numbers of the repertoire. There should not be the slightest difficulty in the return of any sp, ecimens sent to the Pharm Soc for exhibition and I must say, I scarcely ever found any when I had given distinct instructions that any contribution of mine should be sent back. The name proposed for the Rutaecous tree whose bark has been examined is E.cym, osa of Bentham - but no botanical description must be published until we hear from Germany that none has been or is being published there. Uricoechea shall be well impressed I assure thee. Believe me thine sincerely Dan Hanbury. |
