Notes: | Label source: Sent as jaborandi (Letter 159 x p172) Possibly an Esenbeckia but the genus cannot be determined without further material, TAS 27.iv.16 April 28th 1916. Wilson, Holgate & Co Ltd. Acknowledge the receipt of their letter of the 25th inst.an, d in reply to say that the leaves from Parnahyba, Brazil, submitted for identification, cannot be determined in the absence of herb sps (leaves, flowers etc). True Jaborandi leaves are obtained from Pilocarpus microphyllus and Pilocarpus jaborandi chiefly, , and the leaves sent for name do not appear to belong to either of these species, nor to any other species of Pilocarpus in the Kew Collection. |
