Notes: | Current use by the Cubeo indigenous group; made by men but used by women. Mat used to place fish, meat, chilli pepper on to smoke foods as a preservation process. The shelf is hung over the fire where it receives smoke and heat. Strips from the petiole, of ibacaba (Oenocarpus bacaba) are tied with yare vine (Heteropsis flexuosa).
