Notes: | Roof-like rainshield 'ghum' is made and used by Newar and other ethnic groups in Nepal. A headband is used to wear it leaving hands free. The centre of the shield is strengthened by changing the plain weave into twill by adding naroow extra strands. The, outer part of the shield is finely woven with bamboo and the inner layer is more open, with a layer of overlapping leaves sandwiched between the two to give protection from the rainx0Dx0ALocated on long shelf in B4 end compactor unit | ||||
