Notes: | Dried stem of biennial variety of weld. Sown in spring, the first year rosette of leaves are produced giving a pine cone-like base caused by leaf scars. Then, after the winter, the stem elongates rapidly to produce flowers and seeds. Weld is harvested, when it has the greatest number of green see capsules on the stem. |
