Notes: Label source: A pale coloured, open textured, fissile straight grained wood, strong and moderately easily worked, and used for general building purposes, furniture and cabinet work, interior joinery and fittings, shingles and sleepers. It is sold with ot, her woods as Tasmanian oak, and provided that it is thoroughly seasoned and free from sapwood is a very useful wood.
