Notes: | Label source: A light-red coloured, straight-grained rather open-textured, free-working timber. It is often substituted for Blue Gum, Eucalyptus saligna, which it often resembles, but generally growing on moist land, it is usually more porous, softer and, paler coloured and less durable. It is used for light building scantlings, rusticated weatherboards, flooring, wagon work, shipbuilding plywood, handles. A large forest tree growing chiefly in the North Coast districts of New South Wales and in Queenslan, d. H=Hard. W=About 50 lb. per cub. ft. | ||||
