Notes: | Label source: Pale brown hard moderately close timber, usually straight grained and fissile. It is a good timber for splitting fence posts and rails, is durable and inferior to white stringy bark. Attacked by Shot Hole borer which dies out leaving a sma, ll black pin hole which is not detrimental to it except in appearence. Medium well distributed tree about 70 ft high and 6 ft girth, found in the coast districts and Dividing Range of NSW and Queensland, extending into Victoria and South Australia. W = 53, -60lb per cu ft. |
