Bark mid to dark brown with rough vertical fissures, inner bark cinnamo, n brown, smelling strongly of garden peas. Leaves thick and leathery, slightly glossy, mid green. Flowers on short axillary inflorensces, lightly scented, calyx dark grey green covered in short white hairs, petals white tinged violet at tips, the banner s, treaked deep purple at centre, stamens and style pale creamy green, anthers bright orange, stigma green.
