B, ark yellow-brownish, scaling into thin pieces; cut bark producing a small quantity of sticky exudate; inner-bark 1 cm thick; fibrous, pink outer layers, straw towards cambium, all darkening to midbrown on exposure. Wood pinkish-white with red streaks. Lea, ves midgreen above, paler and with yellow midrib beneath.
