Notes: | Collecting notes: Mexico: Pubela: Upper Tehuacan Valleyt, 2km south of Tehuacan Valley, 2 km south of Tehuacan on road to Teotitlan del Camino and Oaxaca.x0Dx0Ax0Dx0AHighly degraded waste land.x0Dx0Ax0Dx0AAssociated species: Prosopsis laevigata, Leucaena esculenta, Cerci, dium sp., Schinus molle.x0Dx0Ax0Dx0ALarge tree to 11 m. DBH 45cm. Bark brown, fissured, main trunk with a few warty protuberances. Young branches with spine-tipped woody protuberances. Slash of bark reddish-brown, slash wood pinkish cream. Open crown with much cr, oss-branching and terminal branches ± pendulous. Foliage discolourous, darker above. Immature fruit cream or greenish tinged pink or red. Seeds hard, greenish.x0Dx0Ax0Dx0AMany trees in the local area, especially along a small stream, apparently not planted by man, but protected for human use. Some older specimens with strips of bark removed and apparently ''used for kidney complaints''/ Wood hard.
