Notes: | SEE HERBARIUM COLLECTIONx0Dx0ACollecting notes: Guatamala: Motagua Valley, 1km W of town of San José de Zacapa, S side of valley.x0Dx0Ax0Dx0ARoadside tree in cultivated landx0Dx0Ax0Dx0ATree to 8 m, DBH 17cm; bark greyish, flaking in woody flakes to reveal creamish -orangish, under bark. Slash whitish, wood hard, white. Some patches of bark smooth, greenish. Young flush foliage mid-green, softly pubescent. Flowers very attractively scented with a delciate yet heady perfume with a slight lemony scent. Lower calyx lobe cucullate, , fimbriate, acting as the lip of an orchid flower. Lateral petals held back from lower calyx lobe. Other trees in locality in fruit and others with old foliage.
