Alt. 0-10m.x0Dx0Ax0Dx0ACoastal, deciduous tropical forest.x0Dx0Ax0Dx0AAssociated species. Caesalpinia velutina, C. sclerocarpa, C.sp.no. (yellow, flowers, e.g. Lewis et al. 1795), C. eriostachys, Piptadenia obliqua..x0Dx0Ax0Dx0ATree to 10m, DBM 20cm. Bark greyish white with a green 'underskin'. Scattered vertical rows of slightly raised small white lenticels. Slash creamish with a strong smell of garden p, eas. Trunk and main branches crooked, crown open with a 5-6m spread., branchlets knobbly, warty and crooked. Foliage sparse, leaflets bluish green with purplish black punctate glands around the margins. calyx glossy lime green, reflexed sepals yellowish.P, etals deep pinkish scarlet, the claws margined greenish yellow and glandular. Filaments yellowish gren.
