Notes: | 20 t (half of the total harvest) is collected from the wild. Wild flowers are picked in May-June by ca. 600 pickers, varying from occasional day-collectors (often holidaymakers) to regular annual collectors. Wild flowers are collected mainly from Gloucest, ershire. The remaining half is organically cultivated on a local farm by Richard Kelley (Thistledown Farm, Tinkley Lane, Nympsfield, Stonehouse, Glos GL10 3UL).x0Dx0ABottle Green use ca. 40 t flowers/year and half of this (20 t) is still obtained from the wil, d (see above). x0Dx0AThe processing plant employs 30 FTE (but other drinks are also processed here). In total, ca. 1 million bottles elderflower cordial are produced each year by the firm. They are sold in most supermarkets and other outlets such as the Natio, nal Trust and various visitor centres.
