Notes: | See: Pharmaceutical Journal (iii), vol. xiii, p. 121. Label reads: ''The taste, at first sweetish, soon becomes exceedingly acrid. It is given with 'Ambilaza' in urinary diseases. It is called by the Malagasy, according to Dr Parker, 'Odinhery,' or the st, rongest 'Ody' (charm or fetish). The plant has not yet been identified, but the character of the bark seems to point to either Sapindaceae or Euphorbiaceae.'' Card catalogue filed under 'Native Name Only - Stems.' |
