Notes: | The principal constituent of the oil is Geraniol. The leaves (and flowers when present) of the plant are used to make the oil. Notations on the card catalogue entry for this specimen read: Plants used are: Italy: P. roseum; Algiers: P. roseum, P. odoratis, simum, P. capitatum; France: P. radula. See Fimemore [?] - Essential Oils & P.E.O.R. 1913 p.p. 239 & 382. Holmes suggests it is a hybrid between P. radula, P. capitatum and P. glutinosum. |
