Notes: Cumarin is classifed as a 'Principal Constituent' in the card catalogue of the Pharmaceutical Society Museum collection. Cumarin is found in the tonka bean (Taralea oppositifolia) in small white crystals between the seed coating and the kernel, and in oth, er species in smaller quantities. Another specimen of cumarin produced by the same company (Schimmel) is noted as being produced from Tonka beans [Taralea oppositifolia], Asperula odorata, Melilotus sp., etc. The botanical name has been inferred from this, information.
