| Notes: | Sungai Mau on road towards Merangking Disturbed lowland riverside forest, swampy, probably often flooded Small straight tree 6m x 12cm Bark grey on surface, blackish when scraped, with fine vertical fissures; outer-bark +/- detaching, black on the back; u, nder-bark pinkish; inner-bark fibrous, pinkish-straw darkening on exposure to yellow-brown. Wood plae when first cut, quickly darkening to intense yellow. Twigs dark. Leaves glossy mid-green above, paler beneath, held in a shallow V. Calyx green; corol, la dark yellow to dull orange, wide open above the tube, very fragrant. Young fruit green | ||||
