Notes: | Highly disturbed premontane scrub. Locally common. 2275-2300 m alt. Shrub or small tree up to 4m, shorter and shruby in more open areas. Bark dark grey, lenticellate, more so in younger stems. Slash red outside, creamy-pinkish inside; wood reddish. L, eaves green above ferruginous below; new leaves and shoots densely ferruginous pubescent. Flowers creamy white, ovary hairs from white when young to cinammon when tepals have fallen. Style green stigma clavate. V. Plant, Pennington, and G Lewis. |
