Notes: | Replica of an akeet (throwing stick) - not exact size. A hard, close grained wood which sinks in water. Further information found in Plants of Dhofar p216. Miller AG, and Morris M, 1988, for methods of making. The stick is carried and used by the Qarra, tribesmen of the jebel in Dhofar, Omans Southern Province in Southern Arabia.
