Notes: | Items collected on trip to Plantecam, 13.10.1995. Andrew McRobb and Naomi Rumball. Bark, Powdered bark and extract. 50% exported as extract, 50% exported as bark. Used to treat prostate cancer and is almost 70% effective, sold in Europe, Japan and USA, . Primary importance in international markets. The bark is processed and manufactured into treatment at Planticam, a subsidiary of a French pharmaceutical co. based near Limbe, buys large quantities of Prunus bark from contractors.
