| Notes: | Seeds like Garcinia cola, are stimulant/medicinal/aphrodisiac. Purchased on Limbe market spice stall, these are harvested from the forest floor (affecting regeneration of all the species). Several varieties are sold and consumed. C. verticillata is rega, rded as inferior to cultivated varieties. Smaller seed is probably Cola nitida - a cultivated variety - and more highly valued than verticillata. | ||||
