Notes: | One label reads Combretum sp - supposed to be used for dying blue, Hale & Sons, 1879. The ash of the leaves of C glutinosum are used in Senegal as a mordant in dyeing cotton stuffs with indigo. Note to Keepter of the Museum - The leaves are those of Lonc, hocarpus cyanescens Benth, and not those of a Combretum. 07/03/1925 |
