Notes: | Cotton from lower part of the Tsadda or Binne. Raw cotton from Ojogo, about 120 miles above the confluence. Specimens of native cloth, one plain blue made in Domo, and the other in Igbira, one is mixed cotton and grass, and one narrow strip shows a red, dye, there scarce and valuable. Large shiny piece is the one from Domo. Specimens from Nigeria, examined by Colleen Triger on 3.7.1986 for her forthcoming publication. She identified it as part of the accession on page 168 of 27.Dec 1856 in Entry Book. |
