| Notes: | Trees of Brazil. Arboreal restinga on sand. Tree 10m x 25cm. Bole ca 2.5m cylindrical. No buttresses. Bark brown marked grey brown with lichen, fissuring vertically & flaking easily. Slash pale red brown 6-7mm. Wood cream. Leaflets with reddish b, rown indumentum on lower surfaces. Fruit 4-5.5cm long; 3.2-4.0cm high; 3.0-4cm wide. Surface dark green, wrinkled, smelling sweet. Mesocarp 4-5mm, lime green, fibrous; endocarp dark brown, hard woody. Seed white. Voucher for cpDNA study. | ||||
