Notes: | Label source: Herbarium Kewensis. Tree to 6m high, forked at 2m, trunk circular. d.b.h. 23cm. bark grey-brown with rectangular cracks. Under bark pale yellow-brown. Leaves glossy tending to be pendulous. Flowers absent. Fruits 4.5cm long, pale brown. Sit, e: On farm plot, in very open disturbed shrubland part of area is gardened, but the Burkea trees were not planted. Species present include: Terminalia sericea, Acacia spp., Dichrostachys cinera. A few grasses are present in the ground layer, but generally, sparse. Soil: pale red sand. Other materials: Photo FC.AU1 Bark sample; wood sample - Economic Botany Collection (K.)
