| Notes: | Label source: 0.5km down left hand side turning. 64km from Gaborone North entrance on Gaborone to Francistown Road towards Mahalapye Small tree c.3m, within area there are specimens that are taller and also bushes. Trunk d.b.h 9cm. branching at 70cm.bar, k grey longitudinally fissured. Slash yellow brown. Abundance: the most common species at this site. Site: in open deciduous shrubland - woodland. Cattle grazing. Species present: Dichrostachys cinerea, Acacia spp, Grewia, Commiphora. Grasses are mainly, Eragrostis rigidio... and Aristida. Ground cover incomplete. Soil red sand. Notes: Palgrave (1977) says this is a good fuel but Rapekenene (Botswana driver) says Dichrostachys cinerea is better. Other material - photo FC.AU9. Wakehurst Place Seed Bank.
