The 3 sorts of Sucopira or Socupira are near alike but the first is smaller veined or grained. The 2nd is called black or natural colour though not quite, so dark as the 1st; and the 3rd is called brown or garden Socupira; the name is sometimes written supopira. There are 3 kinds in Brazil they are much used in ship building and Socupiriacu as well as name seems to be a species of them. |
