Calamator is the name this wood brought from Jamaica, but it is so much like the Bastard Bullet tree, that I have no doubt of its being the Galimeta wood, or White Bullet or Bully tree, w, hich Brown calls Achras salicis; probably the Achras salicifolia. The word Calamator may be a corruption of Galimeta. |
