Sent by Sylveira Arco or bow from its being proper for making bows is called in Brazil guira-pariba, it is very tough and flexible, there s, eems to be several sorts. The first is close and beautifully veined. Branco or white is very straight grained. Another Branco which I have in the list distinguished by (escuro) dark, seems as dark as the Pardo or brown, perhaps the same & by mistake named, branco. These are used for shafts of chaises. |
