Notes: Label source: Cissampelos pareira, Tinospora cordifolia and Cocculus villosus, are all three very common in this neighbourhood. C.pareira is seldom used, it s local name is Mibishee. T.cordifolia has a very peculiar habit; if a portion of the stem be sev, ered and hung upon a bush it will remain a live during the dry season and as soon as the rains commence send forth shoots and long aerial roots about the size of a piece of whip cord; these eventually reach the ground and develop into stems. The local na, me is Goolwail. The drug is described in the Pharmacographia and is much used in this country. C.villosus is seldon used the leaves are sometimes employed to make an emollient fomentation; the local name is Lamtanee. The structure of the root and stem of, all three plants is of a similar character.
