Notes: | Label source: A small tree, with 3-foliate leaves on long petioles, leaflets lanceolate acuminate, thin smooth upper surface dark green, under of a light colour, about 8 inches long and 3 broad. Green bark of young shoots and petioles of leaves marked wi, th small white prominent specks. The bruised leaves have a disagreeable smell something like Helebore; they are slightly bitter and very pungent, causing a tingling sensation in the tongue; not aromatic. In Bombay the bruised leaves are used as a remedy f, or swelling of the feet and burning of the soles. They are popularly considered to be efficacious in such cases. |
