Notes: | Label source: Seeds, said to be those of Bixa orellana, sent by the Forestry Dept. Nigeria to the British Empire Leprosy Relief Association at the suggestion of Dr Mayer. Opuscular source: M.549/29 5th July 1929. I am sending you under separate cover a, sample of seeds received from Nigeria as those of Bixa orellana. As the seeds are being examined for the British Empire Leprosy Relief Association as a possible source of a substitute for Chaulmorgra oil.
