Notes: | Opuscular source: Letter from Lewis & Peat, London EC. 8.1.98. The supplies that we have had for some years past have come from Peru and consist of coarse thick root. That coming from Para is known here as Savanilla root and is the smooth root. The sup, plies for some time past have been very small and the Para has certainly been in less evidence than the Peruvian. We send you a sample of the latter, but cannot get one of the Savanilla, and regret that we cannot give you the botanical names. |
