Notes: | Label source: Letter 269,1915 : x p.69 dated August 10th 1915, Mr Denney, acknowledge the receipt of his letter of the 5th instant and in reply to say that the cigar wrapper submitted for identification appears to be 'Cuba bast'. This is a large tree n, ative of the West Indies where it is known as 'Blue' or 'Mountain Mahoe'. The material under consideration is the inner bark or bast of the tree. |
