Notes: | Label source: Report by Messrs Wilson Smithett & Co, 41 Mincing Lane Dated 31.8.93 'No 1 fine bold red, washed and highly prepared, well fermented, good coloured break generally, but with a few dark breaking beans. Very little flavour. Value about 115/-, to 120/- per cwt. No 2 rather darker colour and more mixed in size but with the same character. Value about 105/- to 110/- per cwt. These cacaos would rank with the finest growths for appearance and also for the colour of the bark, but like many of them h, ave no attractive flavour. The values would be for parcels sufficiently large to attract general trade attention. |
