Notes: | Label source: A large spreading handsome lime, the berries of which are strung in rosaries. It is said by the natives only to grow in this one locality throughout the Empire. It is supposed to be the representation of the scared Boh Iue under which Budha, sat in India, but that is identified in India as the Ficus religiosa. However this may be its Chinese name is very suggestive being 'Bu' ?? Giles Chinese Dict. The natives say there are three variations and I have sent the three 'so called' varieties -, which differ really very little if at all. I was not able to answer myself of the description. |
