Notes: | Label source: Mr Holland, In my report (8.8.29) on a sample of `Yaga` from G Barger (? Dr G Barger), I described it as belonging almost certainly to the Malpighiaceae, and said that there was some probability that it might be a species of Tetrapteris or, Banisteria. L.A.B. 12.11.28. Label source: 48 St Albans Rd, Edinburgh. Aug, 17, 1927. Kew Director, Dear Mr Hill, Thank you for the memorandum about `Yaga` which almost eliminates one of the supposed identifications. We are trying to get proper herbarium, material from S America: but it is difficult. The commercial sample so far obtained was not even homogenous and was separated by chemical test on each piece. G Barger. |
