Notes: Label source: Small jar; A J de Warszewiez by whom this specimen was obtained, states that this resinous substance is used by the Indians of Central America against all rheumatic complaints, as well as against pains in the stomach. V. 1851 D.H. Label sou, rce: Gum Caranna? Closely agrees with Guibourts description of 'Resine Caragne B' which he supposes a fictitious sort - vide Hist des Drogues Ed. 1850 ? iii p. 488. This specimen was presented to me by A B Hill as Tacamahac 1851. Dr Julius Martiny concur, red with me in considering this as a species of Caranna Resin ix/18 1851. D.H.
