Fungus like substance on the roots of sesbania The material sent agrees very closely in structure the floating tissue described by Scott and, Water (Annals of Botany Vol I) on the parts of the stem and roots of Sesbania aculeata. The tissue by a thellogen? a short distance beneath the ?? However it differs from true cork in that the cells do not lose their living contents and the cell walls d, o not become suberized.
