Notes: | Opuscular source: M 503,32. From MacDonald Ltd, 67 Hope St, Glasgow. Enclosed sample of lupine from Palestine. We have had the sample analysed with the following results. Oil - 9.26, Albumenoids - 35.88, Carbohydrate - 33.67, Fibre - 9.66, Mineral m, atter - 2.98, water - 8.47, Sand in mineral matter - 0.05, Food units - 147. We were considering buying some for feeding purposes. We have never handled it before and are not just sure whether it would be suitable for feeding purposes or not. Asking i, f similar to beans, gram etc - used extensively here for feeding and we wonder if this would act as a substitute. Extract from letter M503/32 - June 15.
