Notes: | Label source: Samples of tuba root. McDougal & Robertson, ltd., 66/68 Port Street, Manchester. The thick roots (not labelled) and the fine roots appear to belong to a species of Derris, possibly Derris elliptica. The piece labelled 'coarse root' does not, belong to Derris or even to the Leguminosae. It should be described as stem, and it probably belongs to the Dilleniaceae. L.A.B. 24.2.22. |
