Notes: | Label source: Mr Holland, the sample No 1571 of 'Barbatimao' is probably the same or closely related to the Museum specimen labelled S.barbatimam Mart. CRM 6.4.34 See letter in Tanning Materials S.barbatimam Mart. yields Barbatimao bark which is used in, Europe. It contains 18-27% of tanning substances, a red dye, saccharose and dextrose. There are papers about it in :- 1. Pharm Zutschrift par Russland 1886 and 2. Berichte der Deutsches Bot. Yesellschoft Vol 19, p. 349 1886.
