Notes: | Label source: Presented by R E Massey Esq, Govt Botanist, S.G. See letter with specimen. Opuscular source: To Prof H.S. Greenish 17 Bloomsbury Sq. London W.C.1, England. From Sudan Govt. Dept of Agric Botanical Section. No G/5-6, Khartoum North 13/01/19, 24. Dear Prof Greenish, I am sending you under separate cover a sample of Senna picked in the Red Sea Hills. It would be interesting to know how it compares with the broader leaved variety commonly met with, and with Arabian Senna, which species I have no, t yet found in this country. Have you discovered any characteristic features in the true Alexandrian (Sudan) Senna? With best wishes for 1924. Faithfully yours R E Massey. |
