Notes: | Label source: Imported into the Sudan? From Plant Breeder Sudan ref his letter 17-4-4 of 6/09/1930 No 919/30 - Extract of seeds used for scenting the women's hair. Sold in Oduran market at the equivalent of 1/4d per lb. Seed not grown in Sudan but impor, ted from India. Some merchants however stated it came from Constantinople where it grows on a kind of cherry tree apparently under the same name. Kernels extracted from drupes having a reticulated covering owing to the contraction of the sansocarp? |
