Notes: | Opuscular source: 2700m Rocky wall near edge of field. Common 3-4m shrub. A. Shrubs & damp thickets along small streamlet. B. Steep rocky NE-facing hillsides, dry, with few shrubs, cacti, Bromeliads, Cleome glandulosa etc. C. Roadsides. 2 Km NE of Palca, in valley of Rio Tarma on road to San Ramon. Map included. Additional Notes: Fls. light lemon yellow, filament tips purple. Shrub 3-4m tall, branched, ca. 5cm dbh. Leaflets curved, 'falcate', the margins wavy, glandular both sides. Petals pale greenish-ye, llow lower 1/2, deep reddish-purple upper 1/2. Petals stiff but rather thin, at anthesis adherent together standing erect. Disk green, secreting nectar on undulating top as well as on sides without. Fruiting disk purple. Broken plant regeneration from st, ump sprouts! Faint fetid odour - plant collected 6pm (#47) much more glandular and sticky. |
